Anton Spisak is an associate fellow at the Centre for European Reform. An economist by training, Anton is working on issues at the intersection of international economics, trade and innovation. He has spent the last couple of years working on UK-EU relations in the context of Brexit.
Anton was previously a senior fellow at the Tony Blair Institute and, between 2017 and 2020, an official in the UK government working on the Brexit negotiations, in the Cabinet Office and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He was also an economics leader writer at the Financial Times in London. A dual Slovak-British national, Anton grew up in Slovakia and was educated in the UK. He holds an MSc in economics from the London School of Economics and a BA in politics and philosophy from King’s College London.
